POETRY: Paper Bread and Liquid Butter

Aug 8, 2016 | | Say something

Someday, the dust will settle on a changing Earth,

Paper money will taste only of paper,

It will be difficult to digest.

The smart ones will say that it was always worthless,

We should have placed our faith in gold, not governments.

One will bite into their gold and find it even harder to eat.

Heated and molten down, the liquid gold

Still does not taste as good,

as water.
