POETRY: THe Green Ski Mountain of Cerro Bayo

Jun 3, 2016 | | Say something

The pickup truck slowed and we saw the mountain of Cerro Bayo,

The tops were white with snow.

Further down was grass,

Green, dotted with the odd fleck of white.

One steel chairlift cable stood motionless at its base,

Climbing to its peak in stillness,

Bearing witness to the empty space.

The mountain is awake,

And the people leave it in Peace.
