To be fair, not all the streets in Barranquilla were rubbish strewn dumps like this one. Some were even worse. I walked by an open sewer one day.
Still, I can’t say it was all bad. The hostel I stayed in was lovely, and people were eager to help whenever I needed something. I’m still glad I went, if only because I got to see something slightly different.
El SuperBurro – at least the Caribbeans have a sense of humour.
